According to Research Infosource, Canada's leading publication about research and development, Memorial was ranked as the top medical/doctoral university for growth in research funding over the period of 2002-2007.
It said the university's research income grew by an astounding 116.7 per cent over the five-year period, ahead of post-secondary institutions such as the University of Toronto and the University of British Columbia.
