  • Total population of 188,245 (37.2 per cent of the provincial
    population) calling the Northeast Avalon home. 
  • The region is the most densely populated of the zones
    with average 135 people per square kilometre.
  • Population increased in our zone by 4.4 per cent over the
    2001 - 2006 period, compared to the provincial rate which
    declined by 1.5 per cent
  • 80,044 households - that’s 33.9 per cent of the provincial total.
